- Mother's name is Anna in registers. Widower at marriage to Anne. Farming 82 acres of Chilling Place Farm in 1846 (Tithe Survey).
Bucks Herald 1846: Thomas Sulston of Piddington accused of being father of the child of Ann Hicks of Ludgershall. Case dismissed. NB Thirza GOODGAME had an illegitimate child bap Ludgershall 7 april 1839, registered birth 25 feb 1839 with Thomas SELSTON as father (famer). Thirza married William GREEN in 1845, age 25.
In 1851 census at Chilling Place with Ann and William (son).
Took over lease of Boarstall Farm (162 acres) from William HUNT in 1851, with his father as surety; Sir T.D. AUBREY was landowner. Churchwarden and chairman of Lady Penelope Dynham's Charity in 1850's and 1860's.
In 1866, Boarstall farm and many surrounding farms were closed to movement of cattle because of an outbreak of cattle plague.
In 1866 Thomas won first prize for 36 runner benas in Brill Floral and Horticultural Show!
In Kelly's directory of 1869. Thomas and Ann had eleven surviving children plus Annie, Andrew and Septimus who all died in childhood.
When Thomas and Anne's children married, their firstborn were often baptised in Boarstall.
Death reported in the Bucks Herald in 1875.
