- During school terms at Aylesbury Grammar School, Ted & Archie stayed with aunt and uncle (Margie and Sam) at Bushey Cottage in Stoke Mandeville. In the holidays, Winifred would stay with the boys in Boarstall.
Ted met Muriel at AGS.
BA in Theology in 1930, 2nd class, St Edmund Hall. MA 1934. Ordained in 1932. Curate at Christ Church, Reading 1931-1933. Fellow of St Augustine's College Canterbury 1933-1941. Army chaplain 1940 to 1946. Appointed Overseas secretary of SPG in 1946 (Times Dec 4th) until 1972.
